HOLE 1

One of the more challenging opening holes in golf. You drive out over the two burns to a generous fairway shared with the 18th hole. Its the second where the challenge really comes in. Longer hitters will take out the change in elevation and go straight for the green, for the mere mortals the recommendation is to aim for the middle of the hill leaving your self with a shot of 75-100 yards. The green is in a small bowl allowing you to feed the ball in from 3 sides. Beware the run-off area to the right which will feed the ball off the green to the right leaving a tricky chip back.
